For your perfect bioethanol fire experience, Our bioethanol fuel sets are here for you. Depending on your needs, you can decide whether to buy just a single bottle or to stock up on a small supply of high-quality bioethanol. the more bio ethanol you buy, the cheaper it gets.

Our bioethanol fuel is produced in Germany and has an alcohol percentage of 97% – we recommend to always use bioethanol with an alcohol percentage between 95% – 97,5% for the best experience. Lower percentage bioethanol fuel can burn with a blueish flame and give off a smell of alcohol. Higher percentage bioethanol fuel burns faster and hotter, and not all fireplaces are made for this.

What does Bio ethanol mean

Bioethanol simply means ethanol created from biomass. It’s a renewable energy source produced from the fermentation of starch and sugars in plants. Bioethanol is a highly versatile product that can be used in multiple applications such as for transport fuel or in generating power.

The primary method of producing bioethanol involves the fermentation of sugar, extracted from crops such as maize, wheat, corn and even from some types of trees.

The starch and sugars from these plants are broken down using acids or enzymes, before being fermented to produce ethanol and carbon dioxide. Because this carbon dioxide has come from a carbon neutral source, namely plant crops, this makes it a cleaner and more eco-friendly option as opposed to using fossil fuels.

The produced ethanol is then sometimes distilled if its water content is too high.

How much to use

How much you need depends on several factors. Each bioethanol burner is different and so each burner uses a different amount of ethanol. Another factor that is very determined in terms of consumption is the way the fire is used.

A decisive factor in how much is burned is of course how much goes into the burner. Most common fireplaces have a capacity from 0,5 to 5 litres. Of course, there are also fireplaces that are smaller or larger. The calculation is simple. An ethanol fire with a capacity of 5 litres will also burn 5 litres of ethanol when used. So you should be aware that the higher the capacity of the fireplace, the more it usually consumes.

The 6 Science 97% Bio Ethanol is of a premium quality, this bio ethanol specifically designed for use in bio ethanol fireplaces.

Hazards

Bioethanol – Hazards & Safety

Hazard Classification (GHS):

  • Classified as a highly flammable liquid with moderate health risks depending on exposure.

Key Hazards:

  • Highly flammable: Vapors form explosive mixtures with air.

  • Inhalation: May cause dizziness, headache, drowsiness, and respiratory irritation.

  • Skin/eye contact: Causes irritation, dryness, and redness.

  • Ingestion: Harmful if swallowed in large quantities – can cause nausea, vomiting, and central nervous system depression.

  • Fire hazard: Vapors are heavier than air and can travel to an ignition source.

GHS Hazard Statements (for ethanol):

  • H225: Highly flammable liquid and vapor

  • H319: Causes serious eye irritation

  • H336: May cause drowsiness or dizziness

Precautionary Measures:

  • Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames, and hot surfaces.

  • Use only in well-ventilated areas or outdoors.

  • Wear protective gloves, safety goggles, and suitable clothing when handling.

  • Store in tightly closed containers in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place.

  • In case of fire: Use alcohol-resistant foam, dry chemical, or COâ‚‚ extinguishers.

First Aid Measures:

  • Skin contact: Wash with plenty of water and soap.

  • Eye contact: Rinse immediately with clean water for at least 15 minutes; seek medical attention if irritation persists.

  • Inhalation: Move person to fresh air; seek medical help if symptoms continue.

Great value, great company and added oils is a sweetener.
If there was an option for bigger bottles to reduce plastic consumption that would be even better
