Uses

1. Surface Disinfection & Cleaning

  • Application: Dilute BAC50 according to the surface type (typically 0.1–1% solution).

  • Use Cases: Hard surfaces, floors, walls, countertops, and equipment in industrial, commercial, and residential settings.

  • Tip: Pre-clean heavily soiled surfaces before applying BAC50 to maximize effectiveness.

2. Algae & Fungus Control

  • Application: Use as a 0.5–2% solution to treat patios, decking, roofing, and outdoor surfaces prone to algae or mildew growth.

  • Method: Apply with a sprayer or brush, allow 10–15 minutes contact time, then rinse if necessary.

3. Healthcare & Pharmaceutical Use

  • Application: As a preservative in topical, ophthalmic, and nasal solutions (formulated at safe concentrations per regulatory guidelines).

  • Benefit: Prevents microbial contamination during storage and use.

4. Timber Preservation

  • Application: Treat timber surfaces with a dilute BAC50 solution (1–2%) before painting or staining.

  • Benefit: Protects wood against fungal growth, algae, and microbial decay.

5. Industrial & Specialty Applications

  • Phase Transfer & Corrosion Control: Used in chemical manufacturing or oil & gas pipelines to inhibit microbial-induced corrosion.

  • Preparation: Concentrations vary by industry application; follow technical datasheet recommendations.

Safety & Handling

  • Wear gloves, goggles, and protective clothing when handling concentrated BAC50.

  • Avoid inhalation or direct contact with skin and eyes.

  • Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area, away from incompatible chemicals.

  • Always follow dilution guidelines—BAC50 is highly concentrated and should never be used undiluted on skin or food-contact surfaces.
